Bathtub Drain Stopper Stuck
Bathtub drain assemblies are mysterious things.

This is usually due to the spring mechanism behind the faceplate. You might have a stuck drain lever. Use an old rag to help grip the stopper if you have difficulty pulling up on the stuck stopper. The lever on your bathtub operates the hidden stopper in the drain.
If you have not used the lever in a while you might find that it is stuck. The lever hooks onto the stopper through a hole or hook on the bottom of a long plastic flange that s attached to the stopper. When you push or pull on the lift rod it activates a lever the extends through the drain tailpiece. The drain in our tub is slow and i d like to snake it.
